Concerto for Piccolo and orchestra, Op. 50
L. Liebermann: Concerto for piccolo and orchestra was written in 1996 by commission from the National Flute Association and premiered by Jan Gippo in 1997.
The Concerto is considered as one of the most popular concerts composed for piccolo along with Vivaldi’s concertos (which originally were composed for flautino, one-keyed traverse piccolo, and most likely played on sopranino recorder, even more commonly used during Vivaldi’s time).
