Muczynski Robert

Robert Muczynski (1929-2010) was a Polish-American pianist and composer. He studied at DePaul University in Chicago and later taught composition at the University of Arizona. Among his most popular compositions: Sonata for flute and piano (1961), Sonata for alto saxophone and piano (1970) and Time Pieces for clarinet and piano (1984).
His musical style has been described as neo-classical, his music is full of thematic ideas with a "question-and-answer" shape, resembling music of Barber and Bartok.
