Acsai, Timea

Timea Acsai is a Hungarian flutist who studied flute with Lóránt Kovács at the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy in Budapest and with Andrea Lieberknecht in Hannover and Munich. During her studies she won a scholarship at the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic, providing opportunity to take masterclasses with Emmanuel Pahud, Andràs Adorjàn, Henrik Wiese, Gergely Ittzés and Dejan Gavric as well as perform at many renown concert venues.

Timea Acsai is a laureate of several prestigious flute competitions: Prague (2009), Beijing (2012), Kobe (2013) to name a few. She frequently performs as a solo and chamber musician. As an orchestra musician she has played in the Berlin Philharmonic, the SWR Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart, the Gürzenich Orchestra in Cologne and the Konzerthausorchester Berlin.
Since 2018 she is a member of the Bamberg Symphony in Germany.
