Grot, Alexandra

Alexandra Grot received her musical education at the famous Gnessin School in Moscow where she studied with Albert Goffmann, the solo flutist of the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. Then she moved to Paris to continue studies with Pierre-Yves Artaud and later to Munich, to study with András Adorján. She has won several international flute competitions, including the 1st prize and three special prizes at the Carl Nielsen International Competition (2006).
As a soloist she has given recitals at the Auditorium du Louvre, Musée d'Orsay and Théatre de la Ville in Paris as well as festivals in France, Switzerland, Denmark and Russia.  As a soloist she has played with orchestras in St.Petersburg, Kiev, Odense etc. Her concerts were broadcasted by the French and Danish radio, as well as TV channel Mezzo.
Alexandra Grot has made several recordings for c label.
