Belič, Martin

Martin Belič is a prominent Slovenian flutist and pedagogue, currently serving as the Associate Principal Flutist of the Bayerische Staatsoper (Bavarian State Opera) in Munich.
Born in Maribor, Slovenia, Belič began his musical studies in his hometown before moving to Salzburg. There, he studied at the Mozarteum University under the tutelage of the renowned professor Irena Grafenauer. He further refined his technique through masterclasses with legendary flutists such as Emmanuel Pahud, Aurèle Nicolet, and Sir James Galway.
Before joining the Bavarian State Opera, he gained experience with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also a frequent guest principal with leading European orchestras, including the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks (BRSO).
He teaches flute at the Leopold Mozart College of Music at the University of Augsburg.
