Brunner, Vladislav

Vladislav Brunner studied flute in Bratislava and started his musical career by becoming the Principal Flute in the Radio Symphony orchestra in Bratislava.
In 1973 he was awarded Silver medal at the Geneva International competition. In 1977 he moved to Frankfurt am Main where still teaches at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst.
As part of the Brunner Quartet (consisting of members of his family) he has been a keen promoter of Slovak music throughout Europe.
As a soloist he has performed with RSO Frankfurt am Main, Concerto Grosso Frankfurt am Main, Deutsche Bachsolisten, Münchener Kammerorchester, Bach-Collegium München, Wiener Kammerorchester etc.
