Remarkable flutists
Mario Bruno is an outstanding Italian flutist, prize winner of ARD, Geneve, Kobe, and Gazzeloni competitions.
He studied flute with Antonio Amenduni at the Music Conservatory in Foggia. Then he continued his studies with Michele Marasco at the “Accademia Italiana del Flauto”, Davide Formisano at the HMDK in Stuttgart, and Andrea Lieberknecht at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich.
He performed as a soloist with such orchestras as Südwestdeutsches Kammerorchester Pforzheim, SWR, NDR, Bach Collegium München, and collaborated with conductors such as Patrick Gallois and Andrea Raffanini. He is regularly invited to play as a soloist, in festivals, and in competition juries.
Since August 2021, he holds a Solo Flute position at the Staatsorchester Kassel.
