Mathilde Calderini is a French flutist who initially studied with André Guérin in Chambéry, with Claude Lefebvre, Sophie Cherrier and Vincent Lucas at the Paris Conservatory, and with William Bennett at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Her career took off after winning Kobe International Flute Competition (2013). Year later she co-founded woodwind quintet Ouranos Ensemble and won several chamber music competitions, including the Karl Nielsen Chamber Music Competition.
In 2018 she became Principal flute of the Orchestre National de Lille. In 2020 she became the principal flute of Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
She often appears as a soloist at various venues in France, Switzerland, Austria, Russia, Japan etc. Additionally she teaches flute at the École Nationale Supérieur de Lille.
