Daoust, Lise

Lise Daoust studied flute at the Conservatoire de Montréal and in Paris, with Jean-Pierre Rampal, Christian Lardé, and Alain Marion.
Her interest in contemporary music has led to collaborations with various composers and winning the Prix Flandre-Québec in 1988 for her interpretation of contemporary music.
Her discography comprises a dozen titles and includes works by Mozart and Hummel, as well as works by Ravi Shankar, Arvo Pärt, Walter Boudreau, and Denis Gougeon.
Additionally she is a professor and assistant dean of performance studies at the music faculty of the Université de Montréal.
