Egger, Fabian

Fabian Johannes Egger is one of the most promising flutists of his generation.
Born in Germany in 2007, he studied flute at the Pre-College of the Mozarteum University and Leopold Mozart Institute in Salzburg. In 2020, he was accepted into the flute class of Prof. Andrea Lieberknecht at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Munich.
Additionally, he has taken masterclasses with Philippe Bernold, Sébastian Jacot, Wally Hase, Felix Renggli, Paolo Taballione, Jean-Claude Gérard, Jasmin Choi, Dieter Flury, Jocelyn Aubrun, Sarah Rumer, Anne-Cathérine Heinzmann and Emanuel Pahud.

Fabian Egger is a laureate of various competitions, including the 1st prize of Kobe (2025), Aeolus (2024) and many other international flute competitions in Germany, Italy, Finland and Austria.

Besides studying flute, he likes to improvise and write music for flute. Among his compositions: "Atlantis" (2019), "Clownfish"(2020), "Balance" (2020), "Rivermood" (2021), and "Life Is Not Enough" (2024).
