Egor Egorkin studied flute with Vladimir Ushakov at the St. Petersburg Musical Lyceum, Olga Chernyadyeva at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and  with Wally Hase (flute) and Benjamin Plag (piccolo) at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar.
He won the 2nd prize at the International Theobald Böhm Competition for Flute and Alto Flute in Munich (2011).

After 2 years internship in the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra Academy he won the audition for the long-vacant piccolo chair of the Berlin Philharmonic in 2013, being the first Russian musician to become member of this orchestra.
