Fink, Katherine

Katherine Fink is a prominent American flutist based in New York City.
Fink earned her Bachelor of Music with honors from the Eastman School of Music, studying under Samuel Baron and Joseph Mariano, and holds a Master of Music from SUNY at Stony Brook.
She serves as the Principal Flutist for both the New York Pops and the Queens Symphony. She has held principal positions with the Brooklyn Philharmonic, the Hong Kong Philharmonic, EOS, and the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra.
Additionally, Fink has been a long-time associate musician with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, participating in numerous HD broadcasts and recordings.
Her discography includes the complete solo flute works of Robert Baksa and the compilation Reel Life, which features music by film composers.
She currently teaches on the faculty of CUNY York College and New Jersey City University.
