Graf, Peter-Lucas

Peter-Lucas Graf is a Swiss flutist, scholar and conductor. Born in Zürich, he studied flute with André Jaunet, Marcel Moyse and Roger Cortet. Graf won the First Prize at the International Music Contest of the ARD (1953) and the Bablock Prize of the H. Cohen International Music Award in London. He was appointed the youngest principal flutist at the Winterthur Symphony Orchestra and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra with additional conducting responsibilities, followed by period of conducting orchestras and opera productions.

Peter-Lucas Graf has made numerous recordings for Claves label and has written series of monographs (Check-Up; Interpretation; The Singing Flute etc.).
He taught at the Basel Music Academy for more than twenty years and at the Music Academy Accademia Lorenzo Perosi in Biella.
