Guimond, Claire
Claire Guimond is a Canadian baroque flute player, a founding member of Arion Baroque Orchestra in Montreal and it's Artistic Director from 1981 to 2020.
She has performed under conductors like Barthold Kuijken, Ton Koopman, Masaaki Suzuki, Christophe Rousset, Andrew Parrott, Jordi Savall, Philippe Herreweghe, Enrico Onofri and many others.
For many years she taught baroque flute and chamber music at the McGill University. She has recorded more than 40 CDs, mostly for Arion label. Additionally, Claire Guimond has made radio and television recordings for Canadian, British, Belgian, Irish and Mexican stations.
