Raymond Guiot is a world-renown French flutist who studied flute with Marcel Moyse at the Paris Conservatoire. After two years of study he won the First prize of the Conservatoire de Paris and joined Opéra de Lille orchestra as a piccolo player.
In 1954 he won the prestigious Geneve competition. In 1962 he took first Principal flute position at the Opéra de Paris which he held until 1991. In 1977 he joined the faculty of Conservatoire de Paris, becoming assistant of Alain Marion. He has made over 20 recordings as well some compositions for flute.
