Haskin, Aleksandr

Haskin, Aleksandr

Aleksandr Haskin studied flute at Moscow Conservatory and Yale University.
Winner of several notable competitions (Alexander & Buono International Flute Competition in New York, Penderecki International Flute Competition in Krakow, Poland), he started his musical career as a solo piccolo player of the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra in Moscow, following the position of Co-Principal flutist of Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra in 2008.
He has made several impressive solo appearances, including solo debut at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, solo and chamber concerts at the Merkin Hall in New York, Nexus Concert Hall in Tokyo, Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing etc.
Besides performing career he teaches flute at Qatar Music Academy and American School of Doha.
