Kemler, Katherine

Katherine Kemler is an American flutist who studied flute with Samuel Baron, Robert Willoughby and Mark Thomas at Oberlin and S.U.N.Y. at Stony Brook as well as took masterclasses from Marcel Moyse, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Julius Baker, William Bennett, Andras Adorjàn, and Michel Debost.
Katherine Kemler has appeared as soloist with the British Chamber Orchestra and the Orchestra Medicea Laurenziana.
She has recorded four CDs for Centaur Records, Orion and Opus One Labels.
Katherine Kemler is a Professor of Flute at Louisiana State University, and flutist with the Timm Wind Quintet.
She regularly teaches at the Oxford Flute Summer School in England and the Académie Musicale Internationale de Colombes in France.
