Lim, Cheryl
Cheryl Lim studied flute with Marina Piccinini, Michael Parloff, Jin Ta, Evgueni Brokmiller and Wang Tong and has graduated from the Peabody Conservatory of Music of the Johns Hopkins University with a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree.
Recipient of the Clinton Lee Arrowood Memorial Prize for excellence in flute performance she has performed in a wide variety of musical genres, styles and time periods. She has been the principal flautist of the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra and the Singapore Lyric Opera Orchestra.
Since 2011 Cheryl Lim teaches Music History, Critical Listening, Chamber and Performance classes at School of the Arts Singapore (SOTA).
