Lopez, Francisco

Francisco Lopez is a renown Spanish flutist who has studied flute with Fernando Gomez and Antonio Nuez in Zaragoza, and with Håvard Lysebo and Anders Jonhall in Gothenburg. He started his professional career in 2012 by becoming principal flute of the Gothenburg opera orchestra. After success at the ARD competition in 2015, his has been in high demand as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher. He has been a guest principal flute at Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Orquestra de Cadaqués, Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Gothenburg Symphony, Swedish Radio, Sidney Symphony, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, and Liceo Orchestra to name a few.
Since 2019 he is the principal flute of the Oslo Philharmonic orchestra and Barcelona Symphony Orchestra.

Additionally he has composed various pieces for flute.
