Seth Morris is an American flutist who currently serves as Principal Flute with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
He studied flute at the University of Kentucky, the New England Conservatory and the University of Michigan. Among his teachers were Paula Robison, Amy Porter, Fenwick Smith, and Gordon Cole.
A laureate of multiple competitions across US he has performed as a soloist with the Houston Symphony, the Boston Chamber Symphony, etc.
Prior the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra appointment he held principal flute position with the Houston Grand Opera and Houston Ballet Orchestras and was a member of the New World Symphony orchestra.
His teaching engagements include guest professor positions at the University of Michigan and University of Texas at Arlington.
