Mosnier, Magali

Magali Mosnier is a French flutist. Born in Montluçon she studied flute with José-Daniel Castellon at the Conservatoire National de Région de Lyon and with Pierre-Yves Artaud and Georges Alirol at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris.
In 1996 she started her career as a solo flutist with the youth orchestra Orchester Symphonique des Jeunes en Ile des France and then with the Philharmonie de Chambre de Paris.
In 2003 she won a solo flutist position with the Orchester Philharmonique de Radio France. Since her success as a winner of ARD competition in 2004 she has appeared as a soloist with Berlin Konzerthausorchester, German Radio Philharmonie, Stuttgart Philharmonic, I Musici di Roma, as well as played at various prestigious festivals and venues: the Wiener Musikverein, Lincoln Center in New York, Salzburg Festival etc.

Magali Mosnier is also a recipient of prestigious ECHO Klassik award “Young Artist of the Year” (2006). She has made several notable recordings of French music for Sony Classical label.
