Remarkable flutists
Jorge Rodríguez is a Honduran-born flutist celebrated as one of Latin America’s most promising flutists. Raised in Honduras, he gave his first solo performance at the age of 15 and won his first professional orchestra position at just 17.
He continued his musical studies in Europe, enrolling at the Musik Akademie Basel under the tutelage of renowned pedagogue Felix Renggli. There, he refined not only technique but also artistic vision, appreciating Renggli’s guiding principle: “every time you pick up the flute, you have something to say.”
Laureate of Moyse International Flute Competition (2025), Cluj International Music Competition (2025), in 2025 he secured a position as co-principal flute with the Staatsorchester Staatsoper Hannover in Germany.
A passionate chamber musician and soloist, he has performed at major venues including the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and continues to develop an international recital and teaching profile.
