Scappini, Mauro

Mauro Scappini is an Italian flutist, researcher and pedagogue.
He studied with Bruno Cavallo at the Conservatory of Brescia and mastered his skills with Jean-Pierre Rampal, Alain Marion and Andràs Adorjàn.  
Laureate of several Italian competitions, he became principal flute in the Milano Classica orchestra as well guest performed with all major opera theaters and orchestras in Italy.
Mauro Scappini has dedicated his time to more profound studies of the 18th century "traversiere" flute at the Conservatory of Music in Verona and he teaches flute at the Conservatorio Luca Marenzio in Brescia.
