Seres, Dora

Dora Seres is an acclaimed Hungarian flutist. She studied flute with Lóránt
Kovacs at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest, with Andras Adorjàn at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. Laureate of various prestigious international competitions: Prague (2001), Kobe (2001), Budapest (2003), she has performed as a soloist at many festivals (Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont, the Usedom Musik Festival in Germany, the Prague Spring Festival, etc.) and prestigious concert venues: Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Dvorak Hall of Rudolfinum in Prague, Kensington Palace and the BBC London, and Vienna Konzerthaus to name a few. Dora Seres has made several notable recordings (Hungaroton) as a soloist and chamber musician, receiving the Hungarian Classical Music Award in 2015 and the title "The best Hungarian Musician of the Year" by the Gramophone Music Magazine.
