Paolo Taballione is an Italian flutist who has performed with many acclaimed orchestras throughout Europe.
Born in Rome, he studied flute at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Genève with Jacques Zoon.
Laureate of several competitions in Italy, he won Principal Flute position in the Cherubini Youth Symphony Orchestra led by Riccardo Muti and started solo career which led to new engagements.
As a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician he has performed in the most prestigious venues throughout Europe: Musikverein in Vienna, Gasteig in Munich, the Festspielhaus in Salzburg, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam etc.
He has made solo appearances with the Bavarian State Orchestra, Bach Collegium München, Orchestra Reino de Aragón, “I cameristi” of Santa Cecilia.
Prior becoming flute soloist at the “Bayerische Staatsoper” in Munich in 2008, he served as principal flute in the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra led by Zubin Mehta.
Paolo Taballione is often invited as a guest Principal Flute to play with many orchestras in Europe: the Philharmonic Orchestra of La Scala in Milan, Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, NDR Sinfonieorchester Hamburg, Zurich Opera House Orchestra, Dresden Philharmonic, to name a few.
