Ruhland, Tatjana

Tatjana Ruhland is an acclaimed German flutist and recording artist.
Born in Regensburg, she studied flute in Munich, New York and Siena. Laureate of several International competitions: Prague (1996), Kobe (1997) she has appeared on the most prestigious concert venues and festivals around the world: Carnegie Hall, the Lucerne Festival, Bonn Beethovenfest, the Prague Spring and the Festival de Radio France, to name a few.
In 2018 she performed Debussy’s „Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune“ with the Berlin Philharmonic and has been a member of the Bayreuth Festival orchestra.
Since 2000 Tatjana Ruhland holds a solo flute position in the Stuttgart Symphony Orchestra.
As a chamber musician she has performed with Emmanuel Pahud, Hilary Hahn, Wen‑Sinn Yang, Angela Hewitt etc.
She has made various recordings, receiving OPUS KLASSIK 2018 award for interpretations of romantic works by Carl Reinecke.
