Ueno, Seiya

Ueno, Seiya

Seiya Ueno is a Japanese flutist, winner of several National competitions and the Jean-Pierre Rampal International Competition (2008) in Paris.
Born in Tokyo, he initially studied flute with Yuko Yamada and Megumi Horie at the Tokyo Metropolitan High School of Music and Fine Arts.
In 2009 he continued studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with Philippe Bernold, Vincent Lucas and Sophie Cherrier.
After the winning the competition in 2008 he has performed as a soloist with Orchestre National d’Ile de France, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Czech Philharmonic Octet etc.
Currently he resides in Munich and regularly appears as a soloist at various festivals and venues all around the world.
