Viola, Francesco
Francesco Viola is a distinguished Italian piccolo virtuoso and educator, currently serving as a principal musician in some of Europe's leading opera houses.
He studied at the State Conservatory of Music "V. Bellini" in Palermo, graduating with honors in 2007. He continued his studies in Vienna with Raphael Leone and with Jean-Louis Beaumadier in Marseille.
In 2015, he received First Prize in the Piccolo category at the Severino Gazzelloni Competition in 2015.
In 2017, he won the competition for the Piccolo Solo position at the Mannheim Nationaltheater in Germany.
Currently, he is the Piccolo Soloist for this prestigious opera house, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, Italy.
