Żołnacz, Marianna Julia

Marianna Julia Żołnacz is one of the most promising Polish flutists of the 21st century. She studied flute with Maria Peradzyńska-Filip at the Karol Szymanowki Conservatory in Warsaw and with Michael Martin Kofler at the Mozarteum University of Music in Salzburg.

Despite her young age she is a laureate of over 50 various competitions among which the most impressive achievements: Kobe (2017), Guangzhou (2018) and Nielsen (2019) as well as James Galway Rising Star Award. She has performed as a concerto soloist with the Warsaw Philharmonic, the National Orchestra of Poland, The Slovak State Philharmonic Kosice, the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, the Sinfonia Iuventus and has worked with conductors including Michał Dworzyński, Paweł Kapuła, Mirosław Jacek Błaszczyk, Marzena Diakun, Łukasz Borowicz, Michał Klauza.

In 2022 Marianna won the audition for the position of principal flutist with the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra.
