Since 2006 The International Aeolus Competition for Wind Instruments has taken place once a year, in Düsseldorf. Organized by Sieghardt Rometsch Stiftung. Each year is dedicated to three woodwind instrument categories: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, and Tuba.
The age limit is 28.
The total prize money is EUR 60,000, and the first prize is EUR 20,000.
