ARD International Music Competition

ARD International Music Competition

Founded in 1952, the ARD International Music Competition is the largest international classical music competition in Germany, organized by the Bayerischer Rundfunk (public service radio and television broadcaster) and held once a year in Munich for different selection of instruments.

The competition has Pre-selection, First, Second, Semifinal and Final rounds.
The Semifinal round is performed with the Munich Chamber Orchestra (without conductor). The Final round: with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks.
