Remarkable flutists
Alissa Rossius Dausgaard is an acclaimed German flutist. Born in Munich, Alissa Rossius Dausgaard began playing the flute at the age of four and went on to balance an unusually broad musical education with performances, recordings and competitions from a young age; at ten she was accepted to study at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, her teachers include Marianne Henkel-Adorján, Philippe Boucly, Andrea Lieberknecht, Wolfram Graul and she quickly became a featured artist at the Bavarian Radio, as soloist with orchestra, in chamber music and with piano, incl. recordings as soloist with the Bamberger Symphoniker.
Alissa Rossius Dausgaard subsequently took up the position as Solo Flute of the Swedish Chamber Orchestra and has performed as guest Solo Flute with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, and with the Bavarian State Opera.
She was scholarship holder of the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund and the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.
For the label Genuin, she recently recorded Brahms' Violin Sonatas in her own transcription with the pianist Gerhard Vielhaber.
One of her further interests is finding connections between the arts.
